The Wii U is a home console created by Nintendo. It is part of the eighth generation of video games, which also includes the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo 3DS, and PlayStation Vita. It was released on November 18, 2012 in North America.
It is notable for its second-screen controller, known as the Wii U GamePad, which allows you to play games, even when the TV is occupied. It is also notable for the fact that it was the first Nintendo system to include a Miiverse application.
