This is a list of platforms that support Miiverse either natively or through an external source.
Main Article: Wii U
The Wii U was the first platform to contain Miiverse. Miiverse is available natively on the system and can be launched from the Wii U Home Menu. The service became available on the Wii U on December 26, 2012, approximately a month after the Wii U launched. Because of this, the Miiverse has been designed for use on the Wii U platform.
Nintendo 3DS Family
In Fall 2013, a system update for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems was released. This system update allowed Miiverse to be accessed from the Nintendo 3DS Home Menu. The 3DS Miiverse was designed to be viewed in a mobile fashion due to the smaller size of the system and supports vertical scrolling. The 3DS version proved popular to Miiverse users, so Nintendo decided to take it a step further.
Around the same time that Miiverse launched on the 3DS, Nintendo took it another step further and created a Miiverse website for PCs and Mobile Devices. Though they are similar, they still function slighty different. The Mobile Version of Miiverse functions more or so like the 3DS version. To fit it onto a smaller platform, everything was ordered in a column and scrolling was performed vertically. Unlike the 3DS version, however, this Miiverse supports multi-touch on one screen and does not support handwritten posts.
